What to do if your documents/luggage is lost?

First of all you need to be careful with all your belongings when you are going for SSB Interview, as you will be carrying your original documents and if you misplace them then you would land yourself in a lot of trouble. But don’t worry even mishaps happen with the most careful ones so today let’s try to find what best possible course of action one can take in this regard.

The least you need to have is an ID Proof. So take two or three ID proof it is advised if you take two or three Aadhar cards because it is easy to retrieve you Aadhar card as compared to other ID proofs (for example Driving Licence,  Passport or PAN card). For those who don’t know you can take print out of your Aadhar card from UIDAI website. One more important thing is you must scan all your documents and keep them in Google Drive or soft copy somewhere.

What to do if your documents/luggage is lost?

You should lodge an FIR with the Railway Police and thereafter Report to Selection Centre with your ID proof and the copy of FIR. Boarding and Lodging are free of cost during SSB Interview, thereafter you can contact parents or any nearby relative for help.

The officers and officials at the Selection Centre are very friendly and cooperation they will do every possible help for you.

What Precaution you can take to avoid this mishap

  1. Carry a small bag (similar to school bag) and keep all the documents and money in it and keep it always with you even when going to the toilet during your journey. 
  2. Secure your luggage with lock and key.
  3. Keep cash at different places such as some in wallet some in documents and some in luggage.
  4. Don’t take valuable things that you will not be required at SSB Interview. (Laptop, Camera, Tab etc.)
  5. Save all your mobile contacts in google contacts.
