Bangladesh Army (IA) is the largest of the uniformed force of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Army has a role of securing territorial integrity of the country. BA has shown its excellence in various missions. Here you can get an insight of Rank Structure of Bangladesh Army. Initially, when a candidate is inducted in Bangladesh Army he will undergo rigorous training, thereafter the candidate is inducted as a commissioned officer and awarded rank of Second Lieutenant. Thereafter on promotion the rank increases with that also increases the responsibility which the officer has to shoulder. The Head of Bangladesh Army is known as General.
While there is no Field Marshal which is a five-star rank in some Armies of the world. The Prime Minister of Bangladesh is the Civilian Head of Army
