🏦 SBI Recruitment 2025 — Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales)
The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. This is a customer-facing role across branches in various states and Union Territories. Candidates may apply for only one state/UT and must be able to read, write and speak the required local language for the chosen region.
📅 Important Dates
Start of Online Application: 6 August 2025 — Last Date to Apply: 26 August 2025. Keep these dates handy and apply only through the official SBI Careers portal.
📌 Vacancies & Transfers
There are over 5,000 vacancies (regular + backlog) spread across states/UTs. Note that inter-state transfers are not allowed; limited transfers within the same circle or state may be permitted as per SBI policy.
🧾 Who Can Apply — Eligibility
You must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university. Final-year students may apply provisionally but must submit proof of graduation by 31 December 2025.
Age limits (as on 01 April 2025): 20 to 28 years (born between 02 April 1997 and 01 April 2005). Age relaxation applies for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per SBI rules.
📝 Selection Process
The selection typically follows three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and, if required, a Local Language Test. Prelims and Mains are objective tests with negative marking (¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer).
Prelims (tentative — Sep 2025): English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning (1 hour, 100 marks). Mains (tentative — Nov 2025): General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (approx. 2 hrs 40 mins, 200 marks).
If you have not studied the local language at 10th/12th level, you will need to pass the local language proficiency test before appointment.
💸 Salary & Benefits
Starting basic pay is ₹26,730 (with two advance increments). In metro cities, total monthly emoluments are typically around ₹46,000 (includes allowances). Employees also get PF, NPS pension benefits, medical coverage, LTC, and other standard bank benefits.
The post carries a probation period (minimum 6 months); confirmation depends on successful completion of probation and any mandatory e-learning requirements.
💳 Application Fee
General/OBC/EWS candidates pay ₹750 as application fee. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment. Apply only via the SBI online portal and upload required scanned documents.
📄 Documents to Keep Ready
You’ll need scanned copies of your passport-size photograph, signature, thumb impression, a handwritten declaration, and any category-specific certificates (Caste, EWS, PwBD, Ex-SM) if applicable. Admit cards and call letters will be available for download from SBI’s website only.
