Indian Navy Agniveer MR (Musician) – 02/2025 Batch: Complete Notification & Details

🔹 Important Dates and Eligibility

• Online Application Dates: 5 July to 13 July 2025

• Gender and Marital Status: Unmarried male and female candidates only

• Age Criteria: Candidates should be born between 1 September 2004 and 29 February 2008

• Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation (10th class) with at least 50% marks in aggregate

🎶 Required Musical Skills

Candidates must possess strong musical ability with a sense of pitch, rhythm, tempo, and confidence in solo and group performances. The following skills and certifications are essential:

• Proficiency in Western notation and ability to sing or play wind/string/keyboard instruments

• Instruments such as guitar, keyboard, violin, saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, and other orchestral instruments are preferred

• Non-chromatic instruments like drums, tabla, and dhol are not eligible

• Recognized musical qualifications (like diplomas, degrees, or competition-level certificates) must be submitted during application

🏋️ Physical and Medical Requirements

Candidates must meet both physical fitness and medical standards:

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

Male Candidates:

• 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds

• 20 squats

• 15 push-ups

• 15 sit-ups

Female Candidates:

• 1.6 km run in 8 minutes 15 seconds

• 10 squats

• 10 push-ups

• 10 sit-ups

Medical Standards:

• Minimum height: 157 cm (male), 152 cm (female)

• Minimum vision: 6/12 (unaided), correctable to 6/6

• Colour perception: Must be normal

• Tattoos are permitted only on the inner forearms or back of the hand

📋 Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of Applications: Based on marks obtained in 10th standard and verified musical certificates

2. Recruitment Stage: Includes the Physical Fitness Test, Music Ability Test, and Initial Medical Examination

3. Final Merit List: Based primarily on the Music Ability Test performance and medical fitness

🎓 Training and Service Details

• Training Location: INS Chilka, Odisha

• Service Duration: 4 years under the Agnipath scheme

• Regular Cadre Opportunity: A limited number of Agniveers may be selected for permanent enrollment in the Indian Navy after 4 years

💰 Salary, Perks, and Benefits

• Starting monthly salary: ₹30,000

• Salary in 4th year: ₹40,000

• Seva Nidhi Package: ₹10.04 lakhs (after 4 years, includes government contribution)

• Insurance Cover: ₹48 lakh life insurance during service

• Ex-Gratia: ₹44 lakh for service-related death

• Disability Compensation: Between ₹15 to ₹44 lakh depending on percentage of disability
