Mobile phone rules in SSB Interview

Mobile Phones are nowadays are more important than oxygen. They became an integral part of our life. But if you are heading for the SSB Interview then you need to keep certain points in mind regarding usage of mobile phones during SSB Interview.

Are Mobile Phones completely banned in SSB?

Friends, the persons at SSB understand that you are away from home and your family will be worried about you, therefore, they allow you to bring Mobile Phone in SSB Interview. However, in the call letter, it will be mentioned that mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are not allowed. But you can take them with you for SSB Interview.

Where are mobile phones strictly prohibited during SSB Interview?

Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the testing area, you must not have a mobile phone in any state whether on or off with you during any test. If you take your mobile phone for any task like Screening, GTO, Psychology or Interview then it will be considered serious misconduct. Don’t record or take pictures of any sensitive area, everything is very confidential in the Selection Centers.

Where can I use my mobile phone?

You can only use your mobile phone in your hostel and that too in your room. Because you have to all the time wear a chest number and if you are roaming here and there while talking on mobile you will be caught from a distance and your chest number will be noted. You will be allowed to use mobile only after the tasks assigned for the day are over (7 AM to 1 PM). Thereafter, you will be free to use the mobile phone, but in a gentleman’s way.

If you are talking with someone, then talk in a proper way, don’t shout or abuse anyone. If any official hears you doing that your selection will be at risk.

Please understand the officers at SSB gives you the liberty to use mobile in your rooms because they understand it is a necessity but don’t take too much liberty of this.

    Its very difficult in current times to stay away from mobile. I like this helpful article. It helps candidates to make their mind accordingly.

    • You can carry mobile phone but you should restrict its use in your hostel room only. In Army you may be posted at such heights where even the mobile signal will not reach. So first make your mind to join army if staying away from mobile is difficult. People stay away from their family for months and you are worried about mobile.
