Indian Army (IA) has a primary mission to ensure the national security of the country and defend the country from external aggression and threats and maintaining a state of peace and security within its landscape. Indian Army also conducts rescue operations during natural calamities and other natural disturbances.

Indian Army actively took part in 1947, 1962, 1965, 1971 and 1999 wars.

10+2 TES (Technical Entry Scheme)

Age – 16½ to 19 years
Nationality – Indian
Gender – Male
Educational Qualifications – 12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% in Physics, Chemistry & Maths(PCM).

NDA (National Defence Academy)

Age – 16½ to 19½ years at the time when course commences
Nationality – Indian
Gender – Male
Educational Qualifications – 12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent.

CDSE (Combined Defence Services Examination)

Age – 19 to 23 years the time when course commences
Nationality – Indian
Gender – Men and Women
Educational Qualifications –

  1. Graduate (Three Year Course) in any discipline from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech (Four Year Course).
  2. Final Year/semester students can also apply, provided they produce Degree certificate issued by the University as per the date stipulated in the advt.
  3. No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry.

TGC (Technical Graduate Course)

Age – 20 and 27 years
Nationality – Indian
Gender – Men
Educational Qualifications – BE / B Tech final appearing & degree holders in notified streams of Engineers.

SSC (Tech)

Age – 20 to 27 years
Nationality – Indian
Gender – Men and Women
Educational Qualifications – Engineering Degree in notified discipline.

UES (University Entry Scheme)

Age 19 and 25 years
Nationality Indian
Gender Male
Educational Qualifications Pre Final year students of Engineering Degree Course.

NCC (SPL) ENTRY

Age – 19 and 25 years
Nationality – Indian
Gender – Men and Women
Educational Qualifications – Final year appearing/Graduate with 50% Aggregate marks, 2 Yrs service in NCC Senior Div Army with minimum ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam.
